DAR to return to online homework assignments

DAR’s website will be offering online homework assignments beginning September 2.  Online assignments will only be offered to students at DAR Chatsworth – Saturday.

DAR first began its online homework service in early March, with Ms. Samia’s class becoming the first to enjoy online assignments.  Other classes at DAR Chatsworth soon joined the online assignments service, which was suspended for the summer.

DAR’s homework assignments page can be accessed by clicking here, or by going to the “Homework Assignments” link at the top of DAR’s website.  We at DAR hope you enjoy an educational school year!

DAR: Summer! expands rapidly

DAR: Summer! has expanded rapidly from prior years, according to the Vice President of the DAR Student Council. Citing information from school staff, the Vice President said, “DAR’s summer camp has seen more students this year than ever before. It’s great news.”

DAR’s summer camp – known as DAR: Summer! – has shown clear signs of progress in recent weeks. The school expanded its hours to accept students on Fridays, and continues to operate as a source of fun and learning for many students.

“I’m very satisfied with the progress that has been made,” said the DARSC Vice President. “I look forward to more signals of developing success.”

Enrollment in DAR: Summer! is still open. For more information on this program of fun, education, and learning, just call (818) 261-0681!

DAR: Summer! completed its first week Thursday as students headed home after a long day of fun, learning, and entertainment.  The program – which began July 2 – aims to create the perfect bridge between fun and learning.  DAR: Summer! – which is discussed here – offers basketball, jump rope, and water gun fights, as well as Arabic and Quran classes.

Have you signed up?  If you haven’t, you can still enroll in this fun and educational program!  Just call (818) 261-0681 to get more details and sign up.

DAR makes final arrangements as Awards Assembly nears

DAR today worked out final arrangements as the clock ticked towards tomorrow’s Annual Awards Assembly. Students in all classes practiced their planned presentations as school officials tweaked the projected schedule.

In the DAR Student Council, meanwhile, executives spent their day preparing – and editing – a speech which shall be given by a representative tomorrow. The speech is expected to be a major event in the history of the Council, as this is the first of its kind since the founding of the school in 1997.

The event is to be held at 3345 Motor Ave in Los Angeles. For the latest updates and quick notifications, visit our Twitter account and make sure to enter your email in the box at the right side of your screen.
