DAR to hold Awards Assembly on May 19

DAR has announced that it will hold its Academic Awards Celebration on Sunday, May 19.  The Celebration, which takes place every May, brings all four DAR branches together for class and individual performances.  Students at the Awards Celebration read from the Quran and proudly demonstrate knowledge gained in their Islamic Studies classes.  The DAR Student Council has also been active at the Awards Celebration in years past and is considering an important role at this year’s event.

Last year’s Awards Celebration was a great success, with students excelling at their performances and demonstrating keen command of their studies.  The DAR Student Council also played a role in 2012’s Celebration, with a student representative delivering a brief address on behalf of the Council.

As always, the Awards Celebration will take place at the IMAN Foundation, which is located at 3376 Motor Ave, Los Angeles, CA.  To see the location on a map and get directions from your home, just click here.  And remember—mark your calendars, because you don’t want to miss the DAR Annual Awards Assembly!

This post is the first in a series about the 2013 Academic Awards Celebration.  If you’ve got any questions or comments about the DAR Awards Assembly, just send an email to daralrahmanschool@gmail.com!
