DAR postpones Awards Assembly

DAR today announced a postponement of the Annual Awards Assembly/Graduation, saying it will be held on May 27 – a week after the original date of May 20th. The reasons for the postponement were “various preparation difficulties,” which are expected to be resolved appropriately by the new Assembly date.

The postponement provided an extra week of preparation for DAR’s students, who have scrambled to prepare their Assembly presentations in recent days. “While I’m sorry to have to wait until May 27, this’ll allow me some extra time to practice my presentation,” said one DAR student.  “I can’t wait for the Awards Assembly!”

DAR increases preparations for Awards Assembly

DAR today increased its preparations for the Annual Awards Assembly, which is to be held on May 20.  Nearly all of DAR’s Saturday classes assigned Assembly preparation as part of their weekly homework, and school teachers worked quickly and efficiently to prepare their classes for the event.

An example of the urgency is clear on Ms. Samia’s homework assignments page, where the DARSC has opened a “Awards Center.”  The Center contains detailed information about presentation assignments and Graduation updates, and may also contain news concerning planned DARSC activities.  After all, most of Ms. Samia’s class consists of current Council members.

DAR: Summer!

On Monday, July 2, DAR will start its Summer! program.  The new summer camp will run on Mondays through Thursdays for the second half of the summer, and will have plenty of fun-filled activities – including water gun fights, chess, and movies – to choose from.  Arabic and Quran classes are also available as an optional choice.

DAR announces details of Annual Awards Assembly

DAR School today revealed that the Annual Awards Assembly will be held on May 20, and will begin at 1:30 PM.   It must be noted that students must arrive on time, or they will not be performing.

The celebration will be a potluck event.  What will you be bringing to the food table?
