DARSC to offer reward candy for email subscriptions

The DAR Student Council today announced that students who subscribe to DAR’s website via email will be rewarded with free candy.  Students are to be given two pieces of candy for one subscription, and one candy for every subscription thereafter.  Individual students may only receive a maximum of five delicious candies, and must sign up prior to December 29.

In order to become eligible to receive these savory treats, students must provide printed copies of emails confirming each subscription.  DAR sends out confirmation emails after the subscription process is complete.

To sign up for DAR’s informative email subscriptions, just enter your email in the “Email Subscriptions” box at the right of your screen.  Sign up soon – the DARSC will only give away fifty pieces of tasty candy!

DARSC Presidential candidates advised to enter race

Update: The plan provided in this post has been approved through a DARSC vote.  For more information concerning the DARSC Presidential race, candidates and voters should see this post.

The DAR Student Council Presidential race will be held on January 12, 2013.  According to new election rules, candidates are required to apply for entry into the race by September 22.  Candidates must apply in written form to an election moderator, who will be announced soon.

The full description of entry requirements and procedure can be found on page 4 of  this PDF.  The PDF also contains other vital information pertinent to the DARSC Presidential election.  Candidates are required to follow these rules to successfully participate in January.

It should be noted that the plan has not yet gone before a required Student Council vote.  It is expected the plan will pass, however, and candidates should prepare accordingly.

DAR first began its online homework service in early March, with Ms. Samia’s class becoming the first to enjoy online assignments.  Other classes at DAR Chatsworth soon joined the online assignments service, which was suspended for the summer.

DAR’s homework assignments page can be accessed by clicking here, or by going to the “Homework Assignments” link at the top of DAR’s website.  We at DAR hope you enjoy an educational school year!
