The DAR Student Council today appointed a representative to the DAR Awards Assembly. The representative – who remains unnamed – will be giving a short speech at the Assembly to commemorate the Council’s past progress before outlining its plan for the future.

2012 is to be the first year in which a Student Council member speaks at the DAR Awards Assembly, and it will also be the first in which three Student Councils meet to discuss future plans.

Following the success of the DAR Saturday Student Council, several other branches of DAR chose to begin similar organizations. While members of two Councils met in 2011, this will be the first in which three meet to discuss future cooperation between the student organizations.
